They are designed foruse in water based paints, coatings, inks and industrial solutions.Advantages are low water sensitivity, low foaming, and good colordevelopment. Additionally they display good freeze thaw stability,low volatility, and excellent heat stability, and are well suitedfor high temperatures during subsequent processing. Syn Facproducts are specifically designed for organic and inorganicpigments, and with low foaming characteristics, they can oftenminimize or eliminate the need for defoamers. Typical dispersantlevels are 0.25 to 5%. The amine Syn Fac dispersants are wellsuited as a solvent and /or dispersant for acidic materials,including uses in solubilizing dyes, pigments, and opticalbrighteners. These molecules are also good for dispersing soils inmetal cleaning, oil field, and related applications. 1% usage is atypical concentration. Several of the anionic Syn Fac products areused to extend the life and temperature range of aqueous platingbathes where dispersing as well as emulsification is necessary toachieve a homogenous solution.
